Physical & Chemical Changes

Think about what we have been learning in class about Physical and Chemical Changes.  Think of something that is either a Phyiscal Change or a Chemical Change and post what it is and why you think it is either Physical or Chemcial.

  1. I am going to give you an example of a physical change. My example is sunflower seeds. That's a physical change ,because you can seperate the shell from the seed.

  2. My example of a chemical change is pouring vinegar on to baking soda. This is a chemical change because when you mix these two items together they erupt and once they erupt you can no longer seperate they these objects they are bound to each other.

  3. My example of a physical change is when you put metal pieces with a substance. It is a physical change because you can seperate it with magnet.

  4. My example of a physical change is when you cut a loaf of bread in half. It is a physical change because it still has the same mass, volume, and density as the loaf of bread before you cut it in half.

  6. My example of a chemical change is a burnt piece of wood. It is a chemical change because you will never have the exact piece of wood again that you had before.

  7. an ice cube is an example of a phisical change. This a phisical change because you only change its apperance but bye putting the melted ice cube back in the frezzer you can change it back to an ice cube

  8. My example is of a Physical Change, when you crumble a piece of paper you can change it back. It might be wrinkled but it is still a piece of paper.

  9. My example of a Physical Change, when you break a glass cup or glass bottle it is still the whole glass just in peices.

  10. My example of a Physical Change is when you make trail mix. You can take all of the nuts and candy out and put them in sepreate piles and nothing about them changes.

  13. Chemical Change -Writing with a pencil. Physical Change -Pulling a sticky note off the rest and then trying to put it back with the rest.

  14. A example of a chemical change to me is when you put baking soda and mix it with oil it will explode. That is what chemical change means to me.

    how water boiling in a pot at 100'farenhigt
    turns it to water vapor

  16. My example of a physical channge would be when you combine sauce to noodles when making spaghetti. This is a physical change ,because you can seperate the noodles an sauce. They don't mix together like water and Cool-Aid,which would be a chemical change.

  18. My example is when you mix soda and mentos.This is a example of a chemical change.The mentos is the product causing a chemical reaction.You cant bring it back to its beginning form.

  22. an example of a physical change is a dull pencil, becoming shapr again. in others words; being sharpend. it's not chaning the pencil just makign it sharper.

  29. An example of a chemical change is fireworks. That's a chemical change, because wants you set the fireworks off you cannot bring it back to normal.
